Best Dance Music 1988

1988 was one of my most favorite years for 80's dance music. I guess it could be that I was 18 years old and had just graduated high school. It could have been that for the past 6 to 8 months I had been practicing deejaying on my two radio shack turntables, and equally cheap mixer. It could have been that the countdown has just begun as sung by the awesome "Theme From S-Express" from S-Express. Whatever happened that year,  1988 will be remembered with so ear inspired dance music.

1988 gave us Rick Astley's "Never Gonna Give You Up" which has gained new fame in this century for being "Rick Rolled" on Youtube. Kylie Minogue had a huge club hit with "Locomotion", Information Society sang "What's On Your Mind", Pet Shop Boys gave us "Always On Your Mind", and Duran Duran had a small hit with "I Don't Want Your Love".

News worthy moments in 1988 bring us not one, but two Olympics, one in the winter in Calgary, Canada. Then the summer Olympics in Seoul, South Korea. Interestingly enough Erasure gave us a song called "A Little Respect" I'm still convinced it was about those Olympics...Thoughts??? Microsoft releases Windows 2.1, Heather O'Rourke passes away under a cloud of debacle, and the first National Cancer Survivors Day is held.

You know as I am a huge fan of 80's dance music and 1988 in general there will a lot of posts in the upcoming future. So what I need to know is...What was your favorite tune from 88?
