Duran Duran - The Reflex (12" Extended Version)

Duran Duran was responsible for the mega smash "The Reflex", back in 1984. The Reflex was taken off the Seven and the Ragged Tiger album. The remix in the video is an import 12" single or maxi single. The US version had a slightly different cover.

Cyndi Lauper - She Bop (Special Mix)

You can't talk about 80's music and not mention the influence of Cyndi Lauper. One of the best dance mixes was "She Bop". This was one of the first dance mixes of the 80's that actually mixed the song. It had an intro, a mid break, and an outro.

Never mind the songs message. I think we all understand what Ms. Lauper was talking about. Add another great music video to the mix and we have on of the best 80's dance song.

Culture Club - I'm Afraid of Me

One of the first releases for the band Culture Club was "I'm Afraid of Me". The song failed to chart and only got a little recognition. It's fun to look back because out of most of their songs, this one was one of my favs.

New Order - Bizarre Love Triangle (Shep Pettibone Remix)

New Order hit the charts in 1986 with "Bizarre Love Triangle". This was the groups first brush with mainstream success. The single went on to become a #1 hit on the Billboard dance chart, and was a smash on radio.

I also agree with most DJ's that the best remix for this song is the Shep Pettibone Remix.

Nitzer Ebb - Join in the Chant (Original Mix)

If you were in a dance club in 1987 chances are you heard an angry song called "Join in the Chant". From Nitzer Ebb's debut album "That Total Age." I can't imagine anyone not remembering Fire-Fire-Fire-Huh.

You could say that this song contributed to the house music, but some will say it started Industrial House, either way this song is something that really brings back memories!
